‘Hand’craft

If I could – I would – ‘Do It Myself’, but I can’t. What I mean is draw or paint. And therefore I do ask my husband Reinhold to draw or paint on my clothing. And I’m absolutely grateful he does it without moaning 🙂

My latest, I mean, his latest piece is a grey winter coat. What I love about it, is that it’s a classical piece, but makes it an eye-catcher with the drawings. I did ask Reinhold to draw my favourite saying ‘HAPPY DAYS’ in my favourite colour magenta on the front. At the back I wanted an element of a painting he made at the beginning of the year.  And funnily he also called the painting ‘HAPPY DAYS’.

So the other day it was such a lovely winter’s day that we went for a stroll in the centre of Vienna and I was wearing my new coat.

It’s a trend you can also see on the runway 2018. Most of the Designers include the ‘handmade’ style in their collections. From clothing to accessories the designers give it a more personal note.

I’m wearing my new sunglasses, well kind of new. I bought them at a designer sale organised amongst others by the Austrian Blogger Carola Pojerviennawedekind. And I’m also wearing my latest ear ring design. Those earrings are made of rose quartz and aventurine gemstones and sterling silver.

At them moment I’m quite into the denim look.  Denim is a piece of clothing which will never be out of fashion. You can make it look casual with a T-Shirt and a pair of trainers or a bit more dressy with heels.

By the way, the coat is part of the ‘My happy place collection’ and you can shop it here.
